Florida Panthers centre Alex Barkov has won both the Selke and King Clancy Trophies

Why It Matters
Barkov won the Selke Trophy for being the league’s best 200 foot playing forward and the King Clancy Trophy for his humanitarian work off the ice. Barkov was presented with the awards at the Panthers practice rink in Fort Lauderdale from Joe DiMaggio children’s hospital in Hollywood Florida. Barkov has given 1,600 dollars for every goal and 800 dollars for every assist to the hospital. Barkov has helped finance a state of the art playroom as well as an expansion of their facility. Barkov donates a Suite at Amerant Bank Arena for patients, their families and staff to enjoy Panthers games.
