Indiana Pacers Head Coach Rick Carlisle has defended referee Scott Foster

Why It Matters

Carlisle defended Foster who has come under fire for his officiating in Game 4. Carlisle condemned some of the things that he’s seen about Foster. Carlisle acknowledged that he thinks very highly of Foster who he has plenty of experience coaching in games officiated by. Carlisle would not elaborate on the scrutiny that he was responding to. The Pacers and Thunder combined to shoot 71 free throws in the Game 4 win for the Thunder that had 53 total fouls called in it.
