The Vancouver Canucks have traded winger Kiefer Sherwood to the San Jose Sharks

Why It Matters

The Canucks sent Sherwood to San Jose for prospect defenseman Cole Clayton, a second round draft pick in 2026 and a second round draft pick in 2027. Sherwood lead the Canucks with 17 goals in 44 games at the time of the trade and is set to become an unrestricted free agent on Canada Day. Clayton has five points in 33 games for the San Jose Barracuda of the AHL this season.
