Berrios is the Blue Jays team nominee for the Roberto Clemente Award. The award is given annually to the player who best represents the MLB thorough acts of high character of philanthropy, community engagement and positive impact on and off the field. Berrios is the founder of Fundacion La Makina a charity to empower youth and promote sport in his home country of Puerto Rico. Berrios built on that by launching El Dream in Partnership with the Jays Care Foundation to support youth in under resourced communities.
