The New Jersey devils have traded defenseman Simon Nemec to the Calgary Flames

Why It Matters

The Devils sent Nemec and winger Maxim Tsyplakov to Calgary for draft picks and prospect defenesman Etienne Morin. Nemec who was drafted second overall by the Devils in 2022 has 49 points in 159 career regular season games and two points in four playoff games. On the international stage Nemec won a bronze medal for Slovakia in Beijing in 2022.
