Why It Matters

The Thunder have won their first NBA Championship sine relocating from Seattle to Oklahoma City in 2008. The Thunder had won the top spot in the Western Conference for the regular season two year in a row before winning an NBA championship this season. The Thunder trailed 48-47 at halftime in game 7 but really turned on the heat in the second half. Thunder Point Guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was named Finals MVP.
