The Sacramento Kings are set to name Doug Christie as their Head Coach

Why It Matters

The Kings are set to promote Christie from interim Head Coach to permanent Head Coach. Christie was named as acting Head Coach in December when Mike Brown was fired. The Kings went 27-24 in 51 games under Christie this season. Christie had been an Assistant Coach for the Kings since 2021-22 and had played five of his 15 seasons for the Kings.
