The Saskatchewan Roughriders have won the Grey Cup

Why It Matters

The Roughriders defeated the Alouettes 25-17 in Winnipeg to win the Grey Cup. Roughriders Quarterback Trevor Harris was named Grey Cup MVP while Wide Receiver Samuel Emilus was named Most Valuable Canadian. This is Harris’ first Grey Cup as a starting Quarterback in the CFL. The Roughriders won their fifth Grey Cup and first since 2013 and handed Montreal Alouettes Quarterback Davis Alexander his first loss as a starting Quarterback in the CFL after having won his first 13 combined regular season and playoff starts as a starting Quarterback.
