Why It Matters
The first star is Edmonton Oilers centre Connor McDavid. McDavid had 10 points in four games earning him his second consecutive first star of the week honours and pulling ahead of Colorado Avalanche centre Nathan MacKinnon for the league lead in points. The second star is Ottawa Senators goalie Linus Ullmark. Ullmark won all three of his stars with a .943 save percentage and a shout. The third star is Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Zach Werenski. Werenski Werenski had seven points in three games and three of those seven points were in the Blue Jackets lone win over the Anaheim Ducks.
