Why It Matters
After being found to have a torn ACL Mahomes is confirmed to have no damage to any other ligament in his knee. Mahome suffered the injury in the Chiefs loss to the Los Angeles Chargers that mathematically eliminated them from making the playoffs and will undergo surgery on it this week. Mahomes will miss the Chiefs offseason program and is availability for the start of the 2026 season is uncertain.
