Why It Matters

An MRI showed no further tendon or ligament damage however Mayfield’s injury isn’t conducive to gripping the pigskin. The injury does not look like it will require surgery. Jalon Daniels will start at Quarterback for the Buccaneers for the time being. This is the first time that Mayfield will miss a start since coming to Tampa Bay in 2023.
